BBD Bacto™ Proteose Peptone is an animal-origin, enzymatic digest of protein. This nutritional supplement derived from porcine and bovine material provides relatively high proteose content and varying concentrations of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, peptides of varying sizes, buffering capabilities, and nitrogen content. Customers have successfully used BD Bacto™ Proteose Peptone to produce vaccines from bacterial toxins, such as Corynebacterium diphtheriaetoxin.
