• The Cellartis DEF-CS Xeno-Free Culture Medium is intended for the expansion of human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells in conditions that are completely free from human- and animal-derived components. Cells are cultured in the absence of feeder cells; instead, a xeno-free substrate such asiMatrix-511 is used. The culture protocol uses gentle, non-enzymatic single-cell passaging to ensure controlled and reproducible conditions. Cells cultured in Cellartis DEF-CS Xeno-Free Culture Medium have a high-proliferation rate and stable karyotype, allowing for efficient scale-up. The combination of these features makes Cellartis DEF-CS Xeno-Free Culture Medium ideal for generating preclinical-grade iPS cells for regenerative medicine studies.
• The Cellartis DEF-CS Xeno-Free Culture Medium kit includes 500 ml of basal medium and two additives required during media changes and passaging. The media is available with antibiotics (Cat. # Y30040) or without antibiotics (Cat. # Y30045).
