Stemcell 05001 PneumaCult™-ALI Medium
Product Overview
PneumaCult™-ALI is a defined, serum- and BPE-free medium for the culture of human airway epithelial cells at the air-liquid interface (ALI) or as sphere cultures. Airway epithelial cells cultured in PneumaCult™-ALI undergo extensive mucociliary differentiation, resulting in cultures with morphological characteristics similar to those observed in the normal human airway. Cells cultured in PneumaCult™-ALI elicit physiological responses to known stimuli, making this medium a robust tool for in vitro airway epithelial cell research. PneumaCult™-ALI is also suitable for disease modeling, toxicity studies, and preclinical drug development including inhaled drug formulations.
