SAGM™ Small Airway Epithelial CellGrowth Medium
Product Overview:
AGM™BulletKit™ is serum free and has been optimized to grow human small airwayepithelial cells (SAEC).
Published researchshows SAGMTM BulletKitTM Media is also suitable to support co-culture experiments with primary mammaryepithelial cells (HMEC) as well as established breast cancer cell lines suchasMCF-7 and MDA-MB-231.
DataCourtesy of Furukawa, et al. Lonza's SAEC cells were co-culturedwith primary normal mammary epithelial cells, breast cancer cell lines MCF-7and MDA-MB-231 in Lonza's SAGMTM BulletKitTM Growth Media. Breast cancercell lines showed differences in morphology and proliferation rates in thepresence of small airway epithelial cells. The image above shows phase contrastimaging with a fluorescent (red) overlay of MCF-7 cell line. MCF-7 cell linessurvived as tight clusters in SAGMTM Media. When co-cultured withLonza's primary SAECs, MCF-7 cells demonstrated enhanced growth all the whilestaying clustered.
